The New King Sound...

Knows you come from out of town and want to live high on the hog but not deep in the pocket (except in the groove). We intend to make your stay comfortable yet economic. Extravagant yet prudent, Let’s just say your wish is our command but who wants to spend all their advance money on recording your album. Hopefully it will be you and we’ll show how and where to spend it on.

PRODUCTION COORDINATION You might roll into town and not have a way to issue checks to session musicians, recording engineers, rental companies, etc. We can supply this service as well as currency exchange for those of you who don’t hail from the USofA.

PICK A ROCK STAR How many Rock Stars live in L.A? Well, the ones that play on all your favorite current records do and we know most of them. They are not as hard to obtain for your recordings as you may think. Ask Jimmy.

LODGING The New King Sound is a residential recording studio with two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a large “galley”/ “gourmet” kitchen, tracking/living room, dining/ control room, Jacques/fire-pit/deck, desert patio/garden, click on the pictures below for the bigger "multiview".

PICK A MIXER: Need a good Pro Tools engineer? Tracking engineer? Second engineer? Mix engineer? Yes, Jimmy knows practically every one of them in L.A. (and he’s got a story to tell about ‘em as well!)

BUYING AND SELLING GEAR: You can ask Jimmy Sloan anything about gear -well don’t waste his time about polar patterns, focus on Vintage though he does know a thing or two about A to D conversion and super clock-and he can tell you what it does, what it’s worth, and where to get it or who would buy it. If you didn’t already know, buying and selling is how Jimmy got his start.
